How would you like your steak?

When you order the beef steak in a restaurant, the server would usually ask " How would you like your steak cooked?"

You could answer "I would like it (one of the followings), please."
rare 三成熟
medium-rare 五成熟
medium 七成熟
medium-well 八成熟
well-done 全熟

By the way, the above can also be used for the rack of lamb.

hi...;-)

would like to share this, as your writing reminded me to my first experience with 'rare-medium-done':P...it happened when i was in melbourne, a raw potato of 21years ...(never had this problem back in malaysia, because i dont go to proper/high class western restaurant back home)
...me and my friends visited the crowne casino in melbourne and we planned to have dinner there, so well, got seated and all, and then the waiter took our orders...we all wanted steak (and two of us were malaysian chinese, the other two are pure chinese, with only me having experience with western food;PPP lols...
the waiter asked if we would like our steaks rare or medium (never mention done)...and it just didnt cross my mind that it was the level of raw-ness or done-ness...so well, i just told my friends-i have no idea but just get it medium:P and all four of us had the same...upon serving, i was like 'ah gosh, stupid me:PP'...and it was so embarassing having to ask the same waiter, apologized and to get them all 'well-done'...lols:P i think he must be having something in his mind about these asians...lols...
..but ever since that experience, i've learnt to enjoy medium-rare...and totally in love with fine dining...hehe;PPP

p/s: yes, sure, you are more than welcome to put a link to my blog...and may i do the same? lols;-)
